The Deceased Patients Report is an overview of patients that were marked as deceased during the requested reporting period. This report provides information on the patient’s deceased date, most recent visit details, and the patient’s referral hospital.
The following columns will display information from the patient’s most recent visit:
- Checked In
- Reason for Visit
- Problems/Dx List
- Ward
- Service
- Status
- Provider First and Last Name
It is important to note that this report does not considered time when generating. Patients whose deceased date matches the start date or fall with in the reporting range will show; however, any patients with a deceased date that matches the end date of the report will be excluded. For example, a patient is marked as deceased on 2/13/23 and a report is generated for a start date of 2/11/23 and an end date of 2/13/23. The patient will be excluded from the report since their deceased date matches the end date of the reporting period. If the end date of the report is adjusted to 2/14/23 or later, the patient will appear on the report.

The Deceased Patients Report consists of the following:
Report Info Tab
The Report Info tab is the cover page for the report and consists of the Hospital Name and Hospital Location. It will also show what date/time range the report is for, when the report was created, and the time zone for the report.
Glossary Tab
The Glossary tab contains terms and definitions for column headings located throughout the report for clarity.

The Note at the the top of the page explains that the reporting period relies solely on the date requested and not the time. The report includes patients deceased on the beginning reporting date, but excludes patients deceased on the ending reporting date.
