Welcome to the Instinct release notes page! These notes will provide information on the functionality of new features released this month.
Table of Contents
Voiding Transactions Window
Payment and Refund transactions can be voided/unvoided at any time, without restriction again.
However, if a payment transaction has funds reallocated (Unapply Payments), you will not be able to void the transaction, and a tooltip will display explaining why.
Gravity transactions still cannot be voided after 15 minutes

Clearing Context
Fixed an issue where some users would be repeatedly logged out of Instinct and unable to log back in without having their context cleared. This bug has been squished! 🐛
Can’t Save/Check in Patients Bugfix
Fixed an issue where users could not save, edit, or check-in new patients or accounts. This was caused by duplicate email or phone numbers on the account section (main contact, alternate contact, or an archived contact). Now, the Save option will be disabled until the duplicate contact information is removed.

Add Void Option Back to Lab Charts When in “To Review” Status
We previously took away the ability to void lab documents when they are in the “To Review” status due to a small bug. 🐛
But it is now back! You can again Void lab requests (specifically IDEXX and Antech) in the 3-dot menu while in the To
Review status on the Charts screen.

rVet Sharing Toggle Changes In the Admin Chart Template builder
The rVet sharing toggle in the Admin Chart builder is now a drop down menu with a couple of new options!
- Available means this document won’t send to the rVet portal automatically, but users will be able to turn on sharing once this document is completed for a patient.
- Automatically On means that this document will automatically go to the rVet portal when completed, though this can still be turned off at the patient and document level.
- Never Allow means there will be no option to share this document in the portal for any patient.
PDF Emojis Removal
Based on customer feedback we have removed the emojis in the header of our PDFs.
Affected PDFs:
- Tx Sheets
- Estimates
- Invoices
- Account Ledger Statements
- Printed Records
- Shareville Documents
DICOM Image Support
You can now upload DICOM (file type .dcm) images (radiographs, CT, and MRI files) to Instinct. DICOM images can be uploaded to the Patient Attachments, Patient Visits, or to the bottom of individual Chart documents.
DICOM files are not available to print or export in bulk.
Reminders Bugfix
We fixed a small bug 🐛 in the Reminders feature where the Date Given field was not calculating the Next Due field accurately.
You should no longer see this error!
