🔎 Appointment Search
A new Appointment search feature has been added to search for all current and future appointments/drop-offs for a patient! Find Appt can be found in the Business Office under Appointments.
Once you have selected the patient from the search results, a list of all current and upcoming appointments is listed in the panel.
Appointments or Drop-Offs in the list have a 3-dot menu that can be used to edit the appointment/drop-off or view the appointment/drop-off in the calendar. A tooltip text will appear when hovering over the Appointment to show more details.
🆕 Unsaved Changes Improvement
When scheduling or editing an Appointment, if you try to open the Comm Log before you’ve saved changes to your Appointment, you will now get a pop-up box warning you that you will lose your changes. Click on Cancel to get back to your Appointment to click Save.
📅 View All Upcoming Appointments
While in the Patient Visit, hovering over the Patient Info Bar Appointments header will display all upcoming Appointments or Drop-Offs in a tooltip.
💵 Invoice Line Items – Negative Quantity Behavior
Entering a negative quantity for a line item (via adding a line item or editing an existing line item) will now calculate the amount as a negative quantity to record a reversal, correction, return of a product, or a credit.
💲 Estimate Low/High Quantity
Three new columns have been added to Estimates: LOWQTY, HIGHQTY, and UNIT. You can manually set a quantity range the same way you can set a dollar amount range.
When a line item is added, the new LOWQTY and HIGHQTY columns will be blank. Updating the QTY amount will not update the LOWQTY and HIGHQTY.
Manually changing the LOW QTY and HIGH QTY automatically calculates the new AMT LOW and AMT HIGH dollar amount. Once a LOW and HIGH number has been entered, the FREQ, QTY, AMT LOW, and AMT HIGH columns will be locked for editing and you’ll need to remove the line item and add it again if you want to adjust them.
Manually changing the AMT LOW and AMT HIGH will also lock the row preventing any changes to other calculation fields.
LOW QTY must be lower than HIGH QTY to avoid an error message. Invalid values will not be accepted and calculated into the total.
When declining a line item with edited QTY LOW/HIGH fields the amounts are preserved.

👯♀️ Merge Accounts
Important Note: Users will not have access to Merge Accounts automatically and a hospital administrator will need to add the admin_account_merge permission to the appropriate user role (or create a new one) in order to allow access to merging account data. If you do not see this permission, please contact us at email@example.com.
The new Merge Accounts feature has a workflow similar to the existing patient merge feature. Duplicate client Accounts can be merged easily and all patient and financial data will be moved.
- Navigate to Business Office > Accounts
- At the top of the page, you’ll see a Merge Accounts button. Once clicked, you’ll be able to select both client accounts and then merge them together
- Click Merge Accounts and you’re all set!
💡 An account merge is permanent and cannot be reversed. Always confirm that the merge is occurring in the correct sequence. Account A will no longer exist in Instinct and all patient and financial data will now be under Account B.
Account A will NOT merge its; Primary Contacts, Alternate Contacts, Account Alerts, or Account Types.
Once merged, you will see a popup in the bottom left of the screen indicating that the merge was successful.

📧 Drop Off Reminders
Drop-off Reminders have been added to work similarly to appointment reminders. A new Reminder toggle will be available on the Drop-off Panel:
When the toggle is turned ON, a dropdown will display to choose how long before the scheduled drop-off the reminder should be sent.
Reminders are based on a 7:00 am start time on the day of the scheduled drop-off. The toggle will only be available for same-day drop-offs if it is created or updated before 7 am on that day.
Reminders can be sent 3 weeks before, 2 weeks before, 1 week before, 72 hours before, 48 hours before, 24 hours before, 12 hours before, 8 hours before, 4 hours before, and 1 hour before.
Once a Drop-off Reminder is scheduled, a bell icon will display on the Drop-off card. A tooltip text will display when hovering over the card indicating the scheduled reminder option. It will also update once the reminder is sent, or if there are any issues sending the reminder. A client’s email address must be on file to send reminders.
