You can easily restore and reopen any visit that was accidentally checked out in Instinct EMR within 24 hours.
📓 Please Note: Reopening a visit should only be performed if a patient was accidentally checked out of Instinct. If a patient was checked out and came back within 24 hours, you would NOT want to reopen the visit but rather treat this as a separate visit.
First, check the patient back into Instinct via Business Office > Patient Registration.

Then, open their visit (you can easily find them on the Status Board) and select ‘Chart’ at the top of the screen. Find the previous visit and click the 3-dot menu as shown below:

Click ‘Reopen’ and this will restore everything as good as new! You have up to 24 hours to ‘Reopen” a previous visit.
