🎥 Ax Mode Training Video

Last month we announced that our long-awaited digital anesthesia sheet (Ax Mode) was released. We had a fantastic initial response from our hospitals eager to have the new feature enabled.

We are happy to announce that we have an Ax Mode Training Video up on our Careville website to accompany our Ax Mode User Guide.

If you haven’t reached out yet to begin the setup process at your hospital, please have an admin contact us at support@instinct.vet.

🧪 IDEXX Lab Report Sharing

This update to our IDEXX integration allows for IDEXX in-house and reference labs to be shared using the Comm Log or Shareville for your referring veterinarians, and the Comm Log or Print Record for your clients.

Shareville
Once the lab result is in a Received state, you will have the ability to toggle the rVet Sharing on the IDEXX chart document by using the 3-dot menu or within the side panel.

We are excited to announce our newest update to our IDEXX integration - IDEXX Lab Report Sharing! With this update, you will now be able to share IDEXX in-house and reference lab reports using the Comm Log or Shareville for your referring veterinarians, and the Comm Log or Print Record for your clients. We have also made some improvements to the look of Client Ledgers and have squished a pesky bug in our Chart Templates in the Admin section!

📓 Please Note: The side panel no longer contains the Attachment button. The only attachment available is the IDEXX lab report.

In Shareville, shared IDEXX lab reports appear just like any other shared chart in Shareville, displaying the name, veterinarian, document type, and a timestamp of when results were received. The rVet is able to view the results by clicking on the document or by downloading all the visits.

Comm Log
IDEXX lab reports can also be selected as an attachment when emailing from the Comm Log. Simply click the box next to the results that you want to attach and click on Select Attachments in the upper right-hand corner to add it to an email.

Print Record
IDEXX lab reports can be printed, alone or in bulk, via the Print Record button at the bottom of the Charts screen. Simply click the box next to the results that you want to print and click on Start Printing in the upper right-hand corner.

IDEXX Lab Report PDF
The IDEXX lab report PDF contains a standard Instinct cover page at the start of the document with the common header block, followed by information about the IDEXX lab including the Source, Species, and Sample At time. Following the cover page is the actual IDEXX lab results.

📓 Please Note: This cover page will not generate when the individual lab report is downloaded from Shareville. If the entire visit or all visits from Shareville are downloaded, then the cover page will be attached. Downloads from the Instinct app, as well as when sent via Comm Log will all contain the cover page.

Check out our updated Careville Guide on the IDEXX Diagnostic Integration for more information!

💸 Client Account Ledger Improvements

We have made a few small changes to the look of the Client Account Ledger, including removing the Provider column and shifting the Transaction column next to the Date column.

The Provider will still display in a tooltip text when hovering over the Visit Invoice Rows.

🐛Bug Fix – Chart Template in Admin

If you ever encountered an [object object] error when creating your Chart Templates in the Admin Section, we heard your frustration!  This Bug has been squashed. 🤓

Recently Checked Out Patients

This update adds a new section to the My Board screen for users with the Doctor class. Staff may be assigned a Doctor role, but this will not cause the Recently Checked Out section to display.

The Recently Checked Out section will display if a Doctor has patients under their name who have been checked out within the past 24 hours. If a single patient has multiple visits checked out within that time frame, all visits will display in this section separately. If there are no patients that fill that requirement, the section is hidden.

Changing Transaction Date & Time

If a payment is shown on a report generated during a specific time period, but there is a change to the time and date on that payment, then that payment may end up in a different reporting period. This can cause issues with accounting when trying to close the books.

To help minimize quick clicks and also get the team thinking about the impact of change, we’ve implemented warning text when changing the date and time of a transaction. When the Change Date and Time are selected on a transaction, the Update button will be unavailable for a few seconds after the change.

After a few seconds, the button will say Confirm Update and red warning text will display.

It is highly recommended that only Admins have permission to use this feature. To assign the Change Date and Time permission, head over to the Admin section, select Staff, then Manage Roles. From here you can select “transaction_update under” any role you’d like to have the permission assigned to.

💡 Note: As a reminder, future dates cannot be selected, and they can only be changed to a date/time within the same month.
