Simply click the “Calendar” button (Business Office) on the left navy sidebar and search for the patient. Click the Deceased checkbox and input the day. Please note a date is required for this to save.

You can also quickly edit Patient or Owner information by clicking directly on those headers in the Patient Info Bar within the Patient Visit screen.

Instinct will now indicate that the pet is deceased throughout the app with a icon depicting a ribbon on a headstone as well as italicizing the pet’s name.

💡 Please Note: For EMR hospitals, Instinct will cancel upcoming appointments for patient’s marked as deceased. For more details, check out our Appointments Guide!
