Unconnected Practices: You can edit a Patient or Client ID in the Business Office of Instinct for manually checked-in patients.
- Simply click the “Calendar” button (Business Office) on the left navy sidebar and search for a patient. Update the Patient or Account ID and you’re all set!

- You may also search and edit from the Account screen as shown below.

- You can also quickly edit Patient or Owner information by clicking directly on those headers in the Patient Info Bar within the Patient Visit screen.

📓 Please Note for Connected Practices: For patients created manually, you can edit IDs. For synced patients (check in and check out driven by your practice management system), the Patient and Account ID fields will be grayed out. You will continue editing these directly in your practice software and Instinct will automatically update.
